On the Friday before Easter the girls had a day off from school so we decided to dye Easter eggs. Peyton invited her friend Jordon to come along and help us.
My mom always comes and does this with us (as long as we are living in the same state) and joined us again this year. My girls always ask me when we are going to dye Easter eggs and the next question they ask is if Grandma
Cardon is going to come.
Later that day we went to the Mesa, Arizona temple for the Easter Pageant. We got there 3 hours before it started so we could get good seats. It was pretty crowded by the time we got there but we still managed to get decent seats. There is a lot of waiting involved with this event so we brought lots of food and treats to keep the kids happy. My sister Christin and her family came with us and my sister-in-law Amber met up with us a little later.
About an hour before the show starts the cast comes out and walks around and mingles with the crowd. They also bring out some of the animals that are part of it and the kids can pet them. Here is a 3 day old sheep that the girls just loved petting.
Here the girls are waiting for it to start.
Their smiles are cute but this is how they were really acting until it started.
The pageant was as wonderful as it always is and I was so grateful that we were able to go. It reminded us all of why we really celebrate Easter and brought such a great Spirit into our lives.
