Christmas 2012

This is what our tree looked like before the girls came down Christmas morning.

After I took this picture I allowed them to come downstairs.  They were so excited.

Peyton enjoyed helping Addison open her gifts.

Hailey loved what she got in her stocking.

Lexi loved the bike she got.

Hailey loved the gift Lexi got for her.

Peyton was excited to get this electronic dog.

We had a great Christmas and I think the girls loved all of their gifts.

Christmas Eve 2012

We spent Christmas Eve at my cousin Nicole's house again this year.  All of the Cardon great grandkids performed the nativity and did a great job.

Here are all of the great grandkids that were in attendance.

We ate, performed the nativity, sang songs, and then my cousin handed out the traditional Mita gifts.  My girls look forward to this every year.  This year Nicole did jewelry boxes for all of the girls.  They loved it.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with my family.

Christmas Dress 2012

I thought it would be fun to take a picture of these 3 in the Christmas dresses that Peyton, Hailey, and Alexis wore 3 years ago.  Right before I took the picture Hailey accidentally dropped Addison and that is why she is crying and Addison looks like she has been crying.  At least Lexi looks happy.

Ferrell Family Christmas Party 2012

Our Ferrell Family Christmas party was a big success this year.  As you can tell Addison was super excited for it.
Grandpa did his money grab again (the kids get to stick their hands in to his coin bucket and pull out as much as they can with the help of Grandpa of course).
Here is Hailey with her stash.

Addison enjoyed watching it.

Lexi loved doing it.

And so did Peyton.
Lexi got the coveted spot on Grandma Ferrell's lap for some of the night.  She loves to have Grandma scratch her back.

We enjoyed playing the bells and singing.

The nativity was great again this year.  Addison played the part of baby Jesus, Hailey was the star, Lexi was an angel, and Peyton was a sheep.

We had a great time and enjoyed celebrating Christmas with the family.

Cardon Cousin Party 2012

Each year we get together with the Cardon cousins and make homemade gingerbread houses (with graham crackers of course).  The kids love making them and eating the candy.

The kids had so much fun.

Ferrell Cousin Party 2012

Grandma Ferrell put together a super fun cousin party for her grandkids to enjoy.  She made sugar cookies for them to decorate.

They also got to make their own bubble gum necklace.

Addison had a great time inside playing with her cousins Koda and Cooper.  I hope she enjoys her 4 boy cousins when she gets a little older too.

The kids had a great time.  Thanks Grandma Ferrell.

Hailey's School Musical 2012

Hailey's 2nd grade school musical was during all of the Christmas chaos.  They had a pioneer theme and luckily we had the perfect costume for Hailey to wear thanks to her cousin Aurora.  Hailey doesn't love performing in front of people so she was nervous and didn't smile once during the performance.  At least I got her to smile for the picture.

Christmas Traditions 2012

A few Christmas things we do every year are decorating gingerbread houses.  All of the girls did it at different times and the only pictures I took are of Alexis.  Oh well.

We went and picked out a real tree this year.  This is only the 2nd time in our marriage that we have had a Christmas tree.  We usually are at other people's houses for Christmas so we never needed one.  It was fun being able to go with the girls to pick one out.

Then we decorated it.

We also went and saw the Mesa Temple Christmas lights.  This is something we do every year.

Our ward's Christmas party was called "A Walk Through Bethlehem".  They set up a mini Bethlehem and had food, games, and crafts from that time.  They also had animals and a live manger scene with Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.  It was beautiful.

California Trip 2012

The Ferrell family took their annual California  Disneyland trip at the beginning of December.  We decided to go a day early and spend a day at Knott's Berry Farm.  The girls love going there and I love it because it usually isn't very crowded.  The older girls love going on the fast roller coasters and Lexi loves Snoopy land.  Ryan's sister Ashley and her family joined us there also.  The is the only picture I took the whole day.  It was right when we entered the park.

The next 2 days were filled with lots of fun at Disneyland and California Adventure.  The Ferrell family members that came were: Grandpa Ferrell, Brit, Alyssa, Makenna, Jonathan, Erin, Aurora, Ashley, Dave, Jaxon, Cooper, Tyler, Katie, and of course our whole family.
Here Hailey is waiting for Thunder mountain with Makenna and Jaxon.
Alexis enjoyed the Dumbo ride with me.

Addison had a great time on Alice in Wonderland with Ryan, Tyler, Katie, Jonathan, and Brit.

Peyton loved taking Addison on rides.  Here they are on the Little Mermaid ride.

Grandpa mostly just took care of these 2 babies (Addison and Cooper) so the rest of us could enjoy the rides.  He is the best.

This one is a little blurry but the girls loved picking out their Mickey ears.

I don't love the teacups but no other adult would take these little ones on it so I was the hero who said yes.  Katie, Alexis, and Jonathan went on with me.

The older kids loved going on California Screamin and I think the Dads liked it too.  Peyton, Makenna, Brit, Ryan, and Hailey are in this picture.

Ryan and Tyler took Alexis and Katie to eat lunch with the Princesses.  Lexi loved meeting them.

One of the highlights of the trip is when Phineas and Ferb came and danced with the kids.

Grandpa only went on about 2 rides the whole 2 days we were there.  Lexi was lucky enough to talk him in to going on Splash Mountain with her.  She loved it.

She loved the carousel also.

Alyssa and Hailey on Splash Mountain.

Makenna, Peyton, Ashley, Lexi, and me on the Cars ride.  This one was so much fun.

After 2 days at Disneyland we decided that we should spend a few minutes at the beach the next day.  Ashley and her family joined us along with Alyssa.

Addison wasn't quite as interested as the rest of the kids.

It was such a great trip and we can't wait for the next one.
