Sunday Morning

We don't have church on Sundays until 1:00 so at times the kids get bored just hanging around the house. So yesterday morning they decided to try on some masks Grandma and Grandpa Ferrell brought back from Italy last week. Don't they look cool.
Then they decided to go outside and swing because the weather is finally nice enough to play outside. I am really looking forward to better weather.
They ended the morning with a pretend ride on the 3 wheeler. Alexis was having a great time hanging out with the big girls and Peyton and Hailey were actually getting along. It was a great morning.

The Little Mermaid

My mom bought me and the girls tickets to go see The Little Mermaid at the Hale Theater and we were able to go see it today. The girls enjoyed everything except they wondered why Ursela wasn't in it. I told them that the play was based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen and that Disney had made their own spin off of it. I love doing stuff like this with my girls and it was so nice to see good wholesome entertainment. Thanks Mom for the tickets.

First Play Date

Alexis had her very first play date on Wednesday with her friend Henry. Henry's mom had to go somewhere so I said I would watch him so she didn't have to take him with her. Alexis enjoyed having him around and they only took away each other's toys a few times. She especially loved it when we had lunch and I let her sit in a real seat so Henry could use the high chair. Just look at the smile on her face.

I can't believe how grown up she is getting.

Activity Days Halloween Party

On Monday Peyton had a Halloween party for activity days. She didn't have a costume so I had to run to the store and pick something out without her. She wasn't too thrilled with the angel costume I got but it grew on her and she finally decided she like it okay.
She had a great time with all of her friends and loved the activity.

October Break

We had a wonderful October Break (1 week off of school) this year. We decided to head to one of our favorite places, Provo, UT. Our girls love going to visit Provo and it is great because we have such a fabulous place to stay thanks to Ryan's parents. We arrived in Utah on Friday night and met up with my sister Rachael, her boyfriend Steve, my brother Andrew and his wife Michelle and of course their cute son Drew. We ate dinner and had a great time together. On Saturday we went to BYU's homecoming parade and the girls loved it. They enjoyed the dancing, the marching bands, and the floats but especially loved the candy that was thrown at them. After the parade Peyton, Hailey, and I went to a dollhouse festival that they were having at the library and we had a great time looking at the houses and getting their face painted. Later that day my sister Christin and her family arrived in Provo (they came from AZ too) and we went to the BYU tailgate before the football game. Of course the kids had to get their picture taken at the cougar.
They also enjoyed their own private concert from part of the BYU marching band.
Ryan was able to go to the football game with Andy and Andrew and they had a great time.
No trip to BYU would be complete without going to the Wilk to bowl. Alexis really got into it this time and would take my turn for me. She loved it.

We enjoyed a few lunches at the Cougareat and Hailey loved that they have a Taco Bell there.

We walked up to campus several times and did a lot of fun things there like go to an acoustics show, decorate cookies on the lawn, visit the earth science museum, read books in the bookstore, went to the creamery, and many more things. We love BYU.

On Wednesday we headed to Salt Lake and visited some of our good friends we had in California who recently moved to Utah. The kids had a great time playing with their friends and it was way too short but we will definitely visit with them again in the summer. Then we headed to the Church Art History Museum and met my Christin and her family and Andrew and his family. We had fun walking around Temple Square and stopped to get a picture of the kids in the Visitor Center. We then headed to Andrew and Michelle's place for dinner and fun.
On Thursday night we did the one thing that I really wanted to do while we were in Provo. We went to a BYU Women's Volleyball game. I couldn't wait to go.

The girls enjoyed the game but what they loved the most was playing with Cosmo.

We had a fantastic week and we can't wait to visit again.

Tooth Picture

Here is the picture I promised of Hailey with her first tooth gone.

First Tooth

We are visiting Provo, UT this week for October break and we are having a great time. This morning as I was sleeping in bed Hailey came in and turned on the light. Before I could tell her to turn it off and go back to bed she said, "I lost my tooth!" She was so excited. I was so excited because there was no blood and I didn't have to pull it out. I can't believe Hailey is old enough to be losing teeth. Time sure does fly. I will post a picture of Hailey when we get back from vacation.

Peyton's School Journal

Peyton brought her journal home from school today. She needed me to help her type a story she had written in it. When she was going to bed she asked me if I would read her other journal entries while she was asleep and I said sure. It was great reading what she is really thinking about. In one of her entries she wrote about 3 things that make her feel special and one of them was that I had decided to change my ear piercing policy. Instead of having to wait until she is 12 to get them pierced I told her she could get them pierced as soon as she showed me she was mature enough to have them. I never knew how much this meant to her until I read that entry. Another entry she wrote about was a person she looked up to that she would want to spend the afternoon with and she chose her cousin Summer. She wrote all the things that they would do together and why she chose Summer. It was so sweet. Peyton is such a wonderful daughter and I love her so much. She is so sweet, loving, and friendly. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
