"Oh What Do You Do In The Summertime When It Is 113 degrees"

You either go swimming outside (Peyton did swim team again this year and loved it. She really improved with each week and loved breaststroke.) OR...............
You make an airplane out of a box and play with it inside an air conditioned house. Here the girls are playing with their cousin Jaxon.

Here is Peyton rescuing Hailey and Jaxon from the burning airplane that crashed (Grandma Ferrell was in the background making the siren sound from the fire truck).

DOG PILE!!!!
Here is a cute tutu that my mother-in-law made for Hailey. She loves wearing it and dancing around.

This last picture is just for my Brother-in-law Dave who did not want Jaxon to wear a tutu even though Jaxon really wanted to. Instead he had to settle for a purple piece from the tutu wrapped around his head. Doesn't he look so cute.

A Day in the life of Peyton

The other day Peyton begged me to let her take pictures with my camera. After telling her no a few times I finally gave in and let her take as many pictures as she wanted. These are the photos she took and really show a lot of what we do every day. So here is a short excerpt from a day in Peyton's life.
You will find Grandma Ferrell rocking Alexis with Hailey sitting by her side almost every day.
We get to see Aunt Amber almost every day at swim lessons.

Cousin Kalle does her swim lesson first before Hailey goes.

You will find me feeding Alexis and being attacked by Cousin Brennen. He loves Alexis and just can't get enough of her.

Here is cousin Oakley and Hailey looking out the window at Kalle's swim lesson.

You will find cousin Brennen with a big smile on his face.

Cousin Oakley is always wanting to play with Peyton. She sometimes cooperates and plays along.

"This was the best day of my life!"

Today my sister and her 5 kids came over to play with my girls. They played wii, ate lunch, had ice cream cones, and played wizard school (yes they are all big fans of "Wizards of Waverly Place"). They stayed for 3 hours and my girls had a blast. Then Peyton, Alexis, Grandma Ferrell, and I went shopping for Peyton's baptism dress. She tried on 7 dresses and fell in love with a beautiful white dress that has a blue sash tied around the waist. (While we were shopping Hailey went shopping with Grandpa Ferrell and got a few cute things herself). After we got home I decided to take the girls to Chick-fil-A for dinner since Ryan is out of town studying for the bar. The girls ate and played until I forced them to go home and get ready for bed. On the way home from Chick-fil-A Peyton was so happy and said "Mom, this was the best day of my life!" I love how kids are so easily pleased and I wish that I could remember to enjoy the simple things in life. I am so grateful that I have 3 wonderful daughters to remind me that life is great.

4th of July

We had a fun filled 4th of July with our family this year. It started off with going to our church building for our ward's 4th of July breakfast. We all enjoyed the yummy food and were happy to have my mom and dad join us.
Here the girls are dressed up in their festive red, white, and blue outfits.
Aunt Rachael bought this cute shirt for Alexis and she wore it proudly.

We went over to my sister Becky's house for a fun BBQ and lots of swimming. The kids had such a good time and spent over 3 hours in the pool. Unfortunately we didn't reapply the sunscreen and the girls ended up with sunburns.

It was fun to have my Grandpa join us along with my Aunt Francine and my mom and sisters.

Alexis spent the afternoon in my cousin Nicole's arms. It was great having her take care of her for the 4 hours we were at my sister's house. (Nicole has 3 boys so she enjoys taking care of my little girls.)

Here are the cutest cupcakes that my cousin Nicole made. They were red, white, and blue striped. They also tasted delicious.
Overall we had a great day and were so happy to be spending so much time with our family. I hope all of you had a great 4th of July.
