May was a very busy month.  We started the month off with a fantastic Mother's Day.  Ryan and the girls made me crepes with fruit and whipped cream.  It was delicious.

The girls had their final dance concert.  Don't they look adorable.

We spent some time at the park with my mom.  

Peyton had her final 6th grade orchestra concert.  She wasn't able to practice or play at all with her cast on but she had worked so hard and had a duet that she had been asked to perform so she played for the final concert with her cast on.  She did so great and everyone was amazed seeing her play her duet with a cast.

Alexis took some swimming lessons from my friend Natalie.  She had never been swimming without some sort of flotation device so it was very scary to her at first.  By the end she could swim across the pool without any help.  It was amazing and it really helped me with the rest of our summer since we go swimming so much in Arizona.

Alexis celebrated her 4th birthday.  She is such a joy to be around and has such a cute personality.

She wanted whipped cream with strawberries for her birthday breakfast.

She wanted Grandma Ferrell's homemade chocolate cupcakes for her dessert.

Grandma and Grandpa Cardon came over to celebrate with us.

Peyton finally got her cast off 3 days before school got out.  She was so excited because the 6th grade had a big swim party on the day she got it off and the doctor made sure he fit her in before the party started.  She got back to school just as the kids were getting on the bus to go.

Alexis had her preschool graduation.  She loved going to Ms. Cheri's preschool with a lot of her friends from our ward.

Peyton had her World's Fair at her school and of course she chose the country of China.  Grandma and Grandpa Ferrell were a huge help and she definitely had the most stuff to display.

Peyton just had to have a graduation party with her friends.  It was nothing spectacular but the kids all had fun.

My nephew Jacob is such a good sport to come to all of Peyton's parties even though he is usually the only boy.  This time he invited his friend to come so he wouldn't be so outnumbered.

April 2013

Peyton loves to do photo shoots with Addison.  She loves dressing her up and taking her picture.  Peyton's friend Kelly came over and they did a big photo shoot of Addison.  Here are some of the pictures they took.

We celebrated Ryan's birthday in April.  Don't you just love the wrapping paper.

We drove out to Scottsdale to get Ryan his favorite cupcake from The Sweet Tooth Fairy.  He loved it.

I'm not sure why this picture is sideways but Addison enjoyed wishing daddy a happy birthday.

April also brought us our first broken bone in the Ferrell household.  Peyton fractured her wrist at BounceU and had to get a cast.  She has always wanted to break a bone so she could have a cast.  After she actually got one she no longer thought it was so much fun.

One of Ryan's favorite things to do is to take the girls to Bass Pro Shop.  He loves to look around and dream of all the fun things he would like to buy.  Here is Alexis sitting on some of the things he wants to get. 

I don't think he really wants a toy horse but Lexi sure looks cute.

March 2013

At the beginning of March I took a trip to Utah by myself to spend some time with my sister and brother.  My sister Rachael and I went to a Jane Austen conference where we watched the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and listened to a few lectures about her writing.  It was great.  We also went to the BYU vs Gonzaga Men's basketball game and it was awesome.  Michelle and Andrew came to the game with us and we had such a great time.

While I was gone Ryan was in charge of the girls.  In order to get some work done in his office he put the baby gate in front of his door.  Addison enjoyed peeking in on him.

He also took the girls to Lehi Rodeo Days.  They had a great time riding a horse and watching the other activities.  I'm so glad he was able to take them.

When I got back from Utah I had a day to pack and get ready to go with Peyton's school to science camp.  Peyton had been looking forward to this all school year.  It was quite an adventure sharing a cabin with ten 6th grade girls.  The first night was terrible because 2 of the girls would not go to sleep.  I think I slept a total of 1 hour.

The kids got to do lots of fun activities and team building experiences.

Peyton's favorite was the rock climbing wall and going down the zip line after you got to the top.

After science camp came Easter.  Here are the girls dying Easter eggs.  They love to do this.

 Ryan took Peyton to Magic Mountain during the long Easter weekend.  His brother Brit and his dad also went with them.

Peyton and Makenna absolutely love spending time together.

The 4 older grandkids enjoyed their time together riding the big roller coasters.

While Ryan and Peyton were in California we enjoyed celebrating Easter.

The Easter Bunny even came.

We enjoyed the ward Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning.

My Mom and Dad came with Becky's kids.

On Easter morning I made the girls Easter Bunny pancakes.

Grandma Ferrell made this Easter dress for Alexis and now Addison is big enough to wear it.

When Peyton got back from California she found the Easter basket that the Easter Bunny had left for her.  We were glad to have them back.
