Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there. I especially want to say Happy Mother's Day to my 2 wonderful mothers. First I would like to tell you about my wonderful mother-in-law Paula. I have been very blessed to know her for the past 14 years and have loved every minute of it. She is such a talented person and has so much knowledge. She is a wonderful grandmother to my children and spoils all of us whenever she gets the chance. She is a terrific cook and can get any stain out of your clothes no matter what it is. We have really missed her over the past year and we can't wait to have her back in a little over a month (but who's counting!) Happy Mother's Day Mom. I love you.
There are so many wonderful things that I can say about my mom Elizabeth. She has so much patience and I don't think I ever remember her yelling at me or my siblings. That is a trait that I didn't get from her but I am trying to work on it. She was what I would call a "Super Mom" during my whole life. She did day care in her home most of my life so that she could stay at home and be there for us. She carted us around to thousands of sports activities and never missed any of our games. She never missed our choir or band concerts and always made sure that we had every opportunity to excel in whatever we wanted to do. She made us homemade breakfast every morning which I never really appreciated until I was older and realized how much work that takes. She always listened to us no matter what we had to say and she always keeps whatever we don't want other people to know to herself. I can always count on my mom to be there for me whenever I need her and I feel so blessed. Thanks mom for being so great. I love you.

Lunch With The Girls

Today my 3 wonderful sister-in-laws took me out to lunch and had a little baby shower for me. Since this is my third daughter I didn't want a big party so they took me to one of my favorite places to eat and showered me with gifts and great food. Thanks Tricia, Ashley, and Amber. You guys are the best. (We really missed you Mom Ferrell. Crackers just wasn't the same without you. We can't wait until you get home so we can all go together.)

A Fun Night Out

On Saturday night Ryan and I were able to attend a wedding for one of my best friends from high school. Mindy looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress and the whole event was a lot of fun. There was great food and dancing. What made it even better was the fact that my sister-in-law Ashley (who was also one of my best friends in high school) and her husband Dave came with us. It was nice to get out of the house without the kids and have a fun time. Thanks Mindy for inviting us.

Build-a-Bear

On Saturday the girls and I decided to have a mommy daughter date and we went to build-a-bear. The girls thought it would be fun to invite Grandma Cardon so she came along to see what it was all about (she had never been there before). It was Hailey's first time getting to make her own bear so she was super excited.
Here they are after they had each picked out their special bear.
Here is Hailey pushing the pedal to fill her bear with stuffing.

Next she cleaned the bear and combed its hair.

Here they are with the finished product. They had a great time and loved spending time with Grandma. Thanks Aunt Tricia for the gift certificates that you gave them for their birthday. They had a great time using them.

China Show and Tell

Peyton's 2nd grade class was learning about China this past week and she was so excited. So on Friday her teacher asked her to dress up in her special dress I got her in China and she was able to bring in quite a few things her grandparent's and I bought her in China. She had a great time telling the class about everything and she looked beautiful in her dress. She is also wearing her special Jade butterfly necklace her grandma got for her.

37 Weeks and Counting

I am down to about 3 weeks left until my due date and my sister, Christin, really wanted to see a picture of me this pregnant (she has never been around me when I am really pregnant) so thanks to my cousin Jennifer who insisted on taking this picture over the weekend at my Grandpa's 90th birthday party I have one to post. I'm actually still feeling pretty good and as my due date approaches I am getting more and more nervous. You would think that since I have done this 2 times before I wouldn't be nervous for the delivery but I am. I am excited to see what she looks like (she still doesn't have a name). I wonder if she will look like Peyton and Hailey did with lots of black hair or if she possibly might look a little more like my family with lighter hair or maybe no hair. I can't even imagine that. So thanks Jennifer for bringing your camera and having someone take this picture (Jennifer is 33 weeks pregnant). I am sure Christin will appreciate it.

She finally did it!

This weekend Peyton finally decided that she was brave enough to take off her training wheels and try to ride her bike on her own. If you know Peyton you understand why it took her so long to get the courage to try it out. She was born very cautious. She didn't crawl, walk, or really move around until she was 14 months old. We were lucky to have daddy here this weekend to help her. I tried helping her for the first 10 minutes and I about killed myself. Trying to run and keep up with a bike and help her keep her balance is a little hard for someone who is 8 months pregnant. It took her a few tries but she finally got it. Now we are working on starting and stopping without any help.

Hailey wanted to be part of the fun so she rode her bike (with training wheels) along the sidewalk.
Here are a couple of videos of Peyton riding her bike.
