Happy Birthday Hailey!

Hailey turned 5 today and we had a great time celebrating with her. Ryan made her breakfast in bed (I was at Peyton's swim meet) and Hailey loved it. A little later in the day my parents came over to watch Hailey open her presents along with Grandma Ferrell. She was very spoiled and got lots of great gifts.

Hailey wanted to go to Dave and Busters for her birthday so we invited Grandma and Grandpa Cardon to come along. We had a great time playing games and spending time together.

Alexis enjoyed pretending to play the games.

We told Hailey that she could choose where she wanted to go for dinner and she chose Taco Bell. The rest of us decided the Tia Rosa's Taqueria would be tastier so we brought her food with us and we enjoyed Mexican food with her.
We hope you had a great day Hailey. You are such a joy to have around (most of the time) and you definitely keep life interesting. You are such a wonderful daughter and sister and we can't wait to see how you grow over the next year. We love you Hailey.

Swim Meet

Peyton is doing swim team once again this summer and is having a great time. She had a swim meet today and she was so excited to get her very first blue ribbon (first place). Keep up the good work Peyton. We are so proud of you.

Heaven On Earth

My wonderful sister in law Amber invited us to go up to her mother in laws cabin this last week (the same one Ryan and Hailey went fishing at). We had such a fabulous time and I can't wait for the next time she invites us (or at least I hope she invites us again!). It was truly heaven on earth. The weather was perfect, the views were gorgeous, the cabin was so beautiful, and the company was the best.

This is the view I enjoyed during most of the day. I loved to sit on the porch and look out at the trees and hear the sound of the wind. It brought back so many wonderful memories from my childhood of spending time at my grandparent's cabin. It has been 8 long years since my grandfather sold it and this is the first time I have been to a cabin since then. Boy have I missed this.

Alexis enjoyed sitting with me on the porch and watching her siblings and cousins play.

Aunt Amber taught the girls that pine trees either smell like vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry and they enjoyed testing her theory out.

Here are all the cousins (minus Alexis). They loved playing together.

Oakley caught all of the girls a caterpillar. They loved taking care of them .

Ryan built a fire pit and the kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows.

Then they enjoyed eating a smore.

This is the closest Alexis could get to a smore (a lonely graham cracker). Maybe someday she will be able to enjoy the whole thing.

Thank you so much Amber for letting us come and enjoy the cabin (and thanks to Kay and James for letting us use their cabin).

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom's birthday was June 14th and my family got together for dessert to celebrate. I told my mom that I would make anything she wanted for her birthday and she chose a homemade ice cream cake. I have only made one of these in my life so I was a little nervous that it wouldn't turn out but it was great (thanks again Jennifer for your blog on how to make it). Everyone loved it and we had a great time eating it together. Happy Birthday Mom! You are the best.

Crazy Hair

This is how Lexi's hair looks when she wakes up in the morning and from her naps. It is out of control.

Matching Dresses

I think we all know that I love to dress the girls in matching dresses. My sister in law Ashley bought the girls these cute dresses and I just had to take some pictures of them before church one Sunday.

Oh how I love these girls.

Memorial Day

I know I am a little late on this post but I guess better late than never. We had a great Memorial Day and we were lucky to be able to get together with my family.
My brother Scott's girlfriend Megan was the most popular person with the kids. She played down by the banks with the girls and then they played some karate game that looked like a lot of fun.
My parents hosted the evening and my mom loved holding Alexis and giving her hugs.
Thanks mom and dad for a great day.
