Gone Fishing

A week and a half ago Ryan and Hailey set off on a trip to my brother in law Brandt's cabin. Hailey was so excited to go and spend time with Ryan and her cousins. They were able to play in the woods and enjoy the fresh mountain air. They also got to go fishing. It was Hailey's first time fishing.
Here is Hailey and Ryan after she caught her first fish.
Here she is waiting to catch something. I love the huge smile on her face.
Hailey enjoyed petting the fish after she caught it.
She caught 4 fish. Here she is with her cousins Kalle and Oakley. Thanks Brandt for inviting them to your cabin. They had a great time.

"Tomorrow"

Peyton had her school talent show today and she was able to sing a song with her best friend Rachel. They came up with the song by themselves and planned out their parts. They decided what they were going to wear and how they were going to do their hair. They were a little nervous before it started but they did a great job.
Here is a picture of them before they performed.
And here they are up on stage singing. They sang "Tomorrow" from the movie Annie. They sounded great and didn't mess up (which is always a bonus!). We are so proud of you Rachel and Peyton. We can't wait to see what you will do next year.

Preschool Graduation

Hailey had her last day of Preschool and Preschool graduation yesterday. She was sad to have school ending but was excited for us to come see her perform. They sang a couple of songs for us and then her teacher called each child up and talked about them.

Hailey's teacher was telling us how much she enjoyed Hailey and she was a little embarrassed.

We are so proud of you Hailey.

Yum, Cake!

We had a small birthday party for Alexis with my family on Saturday. We ate a delicious dinner and then had cake and opened a few presents. Alexis had a great time and loved all of the attention she got from her cousins, her aunts and uncles, and her grandparents.
My nephew Joshua asked if he could hold Alexis (this is his second time asking and if you knew him you would know what a big deal this is) and of course I had to take a picture.
Here Alexis is while we are singing "Happy Birthday" to her.

I made a dairy and egg free cake and Alexis was so excited to try it. The next few pictures show how much she loved it.

I let her eat as much as she wanted because she never gets to have anything like this because of her food allergies. I have never seen her eat so much "real food" before in her life. We usually struggle to get her to eat so it was fun to see her enjoying herself.
She decided that eating the presents would be more fun than opening them. We hope you had a great day Alexis.

Happy Birthday Alexis!

My beautiful baby girl turned 1 today. I can not believe it. It has gone by so fast (most of the time) and she is such a blessing in our lives. She has taught me so much through the trials I have had with her. She has taught me to have more patience especially in situations you have no control over (like reflux, food allergies, and not sleeping well because of the 2 things I just mentioned). She has a smile that can melt your heart and loves pretty much everyone who comes in contact with her. She has pretty much no stranger anxiety and gladly will go with anyone that will pay attention to her. She loves to be around people and usually gets cranky when I am the only one around because I am just too boring.
Her two older sister absolutely adore her and want to be with her whenever they can. They still fight over who gets to hold her when she gets up EVERY morning. Peyton takes care of her whenever I need her to and loves to carry her around wherever she goes. Hailey loves to try and pick her up and loves to give her lots of hugs.
These days she loves to get into the dishwasher whenever she sees it open and loves to get into any cupboard she can open.
Happy Birthday Alexis. We love you so much and are so happy you are part of our family.

Mommy Daughter Date

Peyton and I were able to go and spend some time together by ourselves today and I let Peyton decide what she wanted to do. She first had me take her to get a delicious smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I let her get her very own big one and she enjoyed it until her stomach couldn't handle anymore.
We then headed to the mall so she could play in the play place, ride the carousel, and get a free taster of lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick. I am not sure why she wanted to ride the carousel because she will never go on it with us at Disneyland but she spent her own money to do it so I wasn't going to question her. She picked the seat you can spin around in while the carousel spins around. It made me sick just watching her do it but she had a great time.
I loved having one on one time with her since it seems to be so rare these days. It made me want to be better at planning time where we can just hang out together with no one else around to interrupt us. I sure love Peyton and I am so proud of how she is growing up.

Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Ryan went and slept in a different room with Alexis' monitor just in case she had a bad night (which she did so I am glad he took care of it). He let me sleep in until 7:30 (I actually woke up at 6:30 because my body is use to getting up at that time but it was nice to lay in bed and read by myself). Hailey and Ryan made me a delicious breakfast in bed (toast, strawberries, and orange juice) and Alexis joined them in the middle of it. They gave me lots of gifts: a homemade pot holder and flowers from Peyton, laffy taffy and a cute homemade picture frame from Hailey, laffy taffy and a gift card from Alexis, and a few gift cards, flowers, and a book from Ryan. Ryan took care of the girls as much as he could and his dad, brother, and brother in laws made us all a delicious meal for dinner and cleaned it all up. Peyton decided a few weeks ago that it would be fun to surprise Ryan's mom with a talent show done by all of the grand kids around here and it was great. I think she really loved it and so did the rest of us. I am so grateful for my mom and mother in law and all of the wonderful things they have done for me throughout my life. I love you both and Happy Mother's day to all of the wonderful women in my life.
