A Few More

Hailey was so excited to be tall enough for a few more rides at California Adventure. She loved going on the Grizzly Run and always managed to get the most soaked out of everyone. She loved every minute of it. Here she is with Peyton and her cousin Aurora after they got off the ride.

Aurora and Peyton really wanted to ride the rapids one more time but we only had 2 fast passes left so Natalie agreed to let them go on it by themselves if she could walk them to the front and watch them get on and get off. Well the ride happened to have technical difficulties during the middle of their ride so needless to say Natalie almost had a heart attack . They finally got it started again after about 10 minutes and they made it off safely.

Disneyland made Space Mountain into Ghost Galaxy for the first time this year. Peyton was so excited to go on it and we had to wait all day to be able to go on it with a fast pass. Well the ride ended up being so scary and both girls closed their eyes for most of the ride. Peyton said she never wanted to go on it again. Someone should tell Disney that this is a G rated park not a PG-13 park.

The Past Couple of Weeks

Well we have been up to a lot of stuff over the past couple of weeks so I am just going to do one long post. My brother Andrew, his wife Michelle, and my sister Rachael came for a quick visit and it was great to see them. We had lots of family dinners and we were able to hang out during the day. Here we are hanging out after dinner.

This was the first time all of my siblings had been together since Christmas almost 2 years ago.

We love to get a little crazy.

We were able to visit my Mita (grandmother) while they were in town.

The girls went to the ward camp out with Ryan 2 weeks ago and had a great time. I asked Ryan to take pictures and this is all I got.

This past week I took the girls along with my niece Summer to Disneyland. Summer had never been to Disneyland or the beach so we were excited to show it to her. Here she is right when we first walked in to Disneyland.

Here she is on her very first ride, Splash Mountain. She got a little wet but it felt good since it was so hot (100 degrees).

Aunt Natalie treated us all to dinner with the Princesses to celebrate every one's birthdays. Here the girls are with Ariel.

Cinderella
Thank you so much Natalie, Aurora, and Mark for letting us stay with you and making our trip so much fun. Thanks for taking care of Alexis and being so generous. We love you. (I will post pictures of the girls at the beach in another post)

One last photo. Peyton decided it would be fun for all 3 of the girls to lay in bed together tonight before they went to bed. They were laughing and having a great time and it made my heart melt. I just love these beautiful girls.

Peyton's Baptism

Peyton was baptized this last Saturday and it was such a wonderful experience. She was so excited all day and couldn't wait until 3:00. We were so lucky to have so many members of our family there and Peyton felt so special to have them be a part of her special day.
Here she is in her beautiful baptism dress that her Grandma Ferrell bought her. Peyton picked it out after trying on about 10 other dresses and she knew that this was the one for her. She looked absolutely beautiful in it.
She really wanted pictures taken with her hair down so I did it down before I braided it for the baptism.

I just love my 3 beautiful daughters.

If you can't tell by the huge smile on her face she is so happy and excited.

Peyton was so happy to have her Great-Grandpa Gaisford there.

Here she is with her Grandma and Grandpa Cardon.

Here she is with her Grandma and Grandpa Ferrell.

Our Primary President gave Peyton this cute towel with her name and CTR on it.

After the baptism we went to a nearby church building and had a big family dinner to celebrate Peyton. She had a wonderful day and we couldn't be happier with her decision to get baptized. Thanks to all of our family who made this day so special for her.

T'was The Night Before Peyton's Baptism

I really wanted to do something special for Peyton to celebrate her upcoming baptism. I had thought about taking her out to dinner but my mom couldn't babysit and I didn't want to ask anyone else on a Friday night. So I decided to do a candlelight dinner at home instead and Peyton was so excited when she heard the idea. She helped me plan the menu (she insisted on having Pei Wei because that is what she has been wanting for a long time) and she wanted chocolate covered strawberries and brownies for dessert. She picked out the tablecloth and helped me set the table with Grandma Ferrell's china, candlesticks, and candles. Here we are before the meal started.

Peyton was so happy (just look at her huge smile) and had such a great time. It was fun talking about why we get baptised and anything else the girls wanted to talk about. They enjoyed doing "Cheers" with the fancy glasses and ate until their tummies where stuffed. I am so blessed to have such good little girls who really want to do what is right.

Ice Skating With Peyton

Peyton and I went on a mommy daughter date this last Saturday and Peyton chose to go ice skating for it. She had never been and was really excited to try it out. Here she is right before we took to the ice.
Here we both are before we stepped onto the ice. I was hoping that neither of us would have a bad fall even before we got onto the ice.

Peyton was still cold even after wearing all of her winter gear. Her hands were freezing. I guess her body is not use to cold weather (I wonder why!).
We had a great time and she can't wait to go again. She even said she wanted to take lessons so she could be like the real skaters who could twirl. Too bad it cost way too much money.
Here is a short video of her skating after she learned how to do it by herself.

4 Blissful Nights

For those of you who know me well you know that I am a very scheduled person. I really like to be in control of things and I don't like chaos. Well having a newborn baby really doesn't fit well with my personality and so I really struggle for a while after I have a baby. So when Peyton was 6 weeks old and I was going absolutely out of my mind because I was sleep deprived and had post partum depression but didn't know it, my mom brought over a book that her friend had read and used with her newborn baby. The book was Babywise and it saved my life. (I know some of you don't like the book or don't agree with it but it works for me.) So by 8 weeks old Peyton was sleeping through the night and by 12 weeks old Hailey was sleeping through the night and both were on a schedule. Well then Alexis came along and she has had major stomach problems so I didn't know if she would follow in her sister's footsteps. After we figured out that she had a milk allergy and after several relapses on my part of having milk product because I didn't know it contained milk (who would have thought Ramen Noodles would contain milk) or because I just really wanted to eat something she finally started sleeping through the night. We have had 4 straight blissful nights of sleep (she has slept 9 straight hours each night). So it might have taken her a few extra weeks because of her stomach issues (she is now 15 weeks old today) but I finally have reached my first major goal with her. I really miss dairy products (goodbye ice cream, cheese, chocolate, and too many other things to name) but it is worth it to have her sleeping well. I am now enjoying Alexis a lot more and I feel so much better. So Thank You Babywise, we will meet again when we have another little one.
Here are a couple of pictures I took of Alexis in my favorite dress my cousins and Aunt gave her. I love the flip flops on it. These are the faces I got when I tried to get her to smile.
